Dove House has a team of therapists who can help ease many of the side effects or symptoms of living with a life limiting illness. We know that sometimes everyday tasks can become more difficult to manage because of increased pain, breathlessness or lack of mobility, and this can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety and fatigue.

Our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists can help find techniques to ease these everyday challenges, to find different ways of doing things, look at equipment that might be useful and have a team approach to see if other therapies can also be used.

Complementary Therapy is a great way to aid relaxation, ease anxiety, improve circulation and help with fatigue and insomnia, this can be through massage, aromatherapy, reflexology or reiki

Often listening to or sharing music with loved ones can also help people to put feelings and thoughts into words, creating special memories, and our Music Therapist works with families both on our Inpatient Unit and in Day Therapy sessions.
