Hello, my name is Philip Daniels and I am the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the hospice. I am pleased to share with you the newest edition of Dove House Hospice’s ‘Keeping in Touch’ Newsletter!

As always I’ll start off with a fantastically large thank you for your continued support of the hospice, the reality is we wouldn’t be able to provide vital care to our community without you.

In this ‘Keeping In Touch’ Newsletter you will find an update on what’s been going on at the hospice over the past six months, a look back on the 2022/23 financial year, and what we have planned for the next year. You can also read Hazel, Sally, and Hannah’s stories who have kindly told us about their experience of Dove House and the difference your support makes every day.

I recently had the utmost pleasure of opening both of our new shops on Hessle Road in Hull which you can read about on page 12. I was delighted to see the community come together to celebrate these fantastic first days and hopefully, many more to come. New shops are such an exciting opportunity for the hospice and it was amazing to see to see so many lovely donated pieces ready to be bought to raise funds for hospice care.
I also want to let you know about a change in how often we will send these Newsletters. We want to ensure the information we tell you is always relevant and keeps you up to date about developments here at Dove House and the impact your support has, and as such we are moving to sending just one Newsletter, around this time, every year. If you want to hear from us more frequently be sure to sign up for our monthly eNews if you haven’t already.

On behalf of all of us here at the hospice…THANK YOU, your support makes such a difference and I really hope you enjoy reading this update.
