Remember a loved one

Many people choose to hold special events to remember their loved one and celebrate their life.

Memory Events

We have two special Remembrance events every year - Summer Memories in June and Light up a life in December (details will appear here nearer the events). In the mean time, please do not hesitate to contact us for further help, ideas and advice about arranging your own remembrance event.

Memory Tree

Nestled amongst the flowers and shrubs in the quiet tranquillity of the hospice gardens is a tree like no other. Our Memory Tree will offer a unique and meaningful way for people to remember a loved one whilst helping raise funds for the hospice. This unique sculpture is adorned with 500 autumnal coloured leaves, 5 elegant silver doves and 10 foundation stones creating a stunning piece of art. Each element can be engraved with the name of a loved one as a lasting tribute to their memory.

The Memory Tree is displayed upon an external wall within our new Memory Garden, a secluded space where families can take time to remember their loved ones. The garden has its own entrance, independent of the hospice enabling families to visit as and when they wish. Gates to the garden will be open from 9am to 9pm seven days a week. The garden was created for the whole community, therefore time can be spent within its peaceful surroundings even if there has not been a previous connection to the hospice. All are welcome to remember their loved ones here.
