Patrington Haven Holiday Park is set in beautiful, tranquil countryside and is an ideal location for all age groups. It is very family-friendly, with a tropically heated swimming pool as well as a fishing lake and children's play park. Our holiday home is a non-smoking facility sleeping up to six people and is fully equipped, including everything you would expect to find in holiday park accommodation (duvets, pillows and blankets are provided but you will need to bring duvet covers, bed linen, towels and tea towels. It is also disabled friendly, with features like a walk-in shower and plenty of room to manoeuvre a wheelchair.
Passes are provided for each person so all amenities can be accessed entirely free of charge to service users, carers and their familes (a donation towards running costs is always appreciated). A deposit of £50 will be required to be handed in on arrival at Patrington holiday home (this should take the form of a cheque, which will be returned to you without being cashed when you leave under normal circumstances). Pets are not allowed. Insurance is not provided for occupants and their possessions. We would therefore recommend that you consider holiday insurance. Occupants who use the holiday home must be aware that they do so at their own risk.
What care is provided at Patrington Haven?
The holiday home is independent of, and quite separate from, other services offered by Dove House Hospice and so, unfortunately, we are not able to offer care in this facility. Consequently, service users and carers must be satisfied that their medical and nursing needs are able to be met independently of the hospice (our staff will assist service users to decide whether the holiday home is appropriate for their holiday use when booking). Any special arrangements required are the responsibility of the service user, carer and family to arrange.
How can I book Patrington Haven holiday home?
Contact a member of staff or telephone Jo Longden, Medical Administrator on 01482 784343. They can tell you more about the holiday home, let you know when it's available and a provisional booking can be made. If necessary a member of the Clinical Services department will contact you in order to establish whether the holiday home would be suitable for you; an application form can be completed over the phone. After a firm booking is made, and nearer the time of the stay, a member of our Estates Team will contact you to arrange your time of arrival at the holiday home, they will be there to welcome you and to show you where everything is. Arrival day at the holiday home is normally 11am on Fridays and leaving time is 2pm on Thursdays. Changes to these times can be made but need to be discussed and confirmed when making the booking. When it is time to leave, a member of our Estates Team will come to the holiday home to make sure everything was alright for you during your stay, say goodbye and prepare for the next guest. The holiday home is available throughout the year.
