Police Band raises funds for local hospice

A huge thank you to the Humberside Police Concert Band for their kind donation of £575.00 which was raised at a variety of events over the course of three years. During the earlier days of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Band recognised that local charities would be in desperate need of assistance. Charity Shops needed to close; events were cancelled. All of this meant that opportunities to raise vital funds would be limited, so they decided to offer their assistance.

We are delighted that the Concert Band will continue their support towards the hospice with an upcoming Christmas 2023 and Spring 2024 concert.

One of our Regional Fundraising Coordinator, Dan Clipson also shared with us:

“We are incredibly grateful to the Humberside Police Concert Band for their long-standing support towards Dove House. Their ongoing support and awareness raising of the hospice and the care that we provide across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire ensures those living with a life-limiting illness can reach out for a hand to hold or a shoulder to lean on. Our care is provided in a safe, caring and homely place where their needs are at the centre of the care and support. Leaving loved ones to spend quality time making moments that matter. Without those in the community actively fundraising for us, we simply couldn’t remain free and accessible to those who so desperately need it’.”
