Some of our shops are open 7 days a week (check individual shops for opening times) and are an Aladdin’s cave filled with real treasures, well worth a visit.
Items offered for sale include:

In most of our shops, we also offer a range of new goods, giftware and other items not normally donated to us. These include our own Dove House Christmas cards and calendars for the festive season, plus greetings cards, candles, pocket money toys and many other gift ideas. All of our shops are run by a professional manager and a loyal team of volunteers. They pride themselves on delivering first class customer service and merchandising our shops to a very high standard.
All the stock for sale is carefully checked and selected in order to maintain the high standards we are known for. If you have never shopped in a charity shop, or visited your local Dove House Hospice shop now is the time. Dove House Hospice retail department has grown substantially since the early 1980’s when our first shop on Beverley Road, Hull was opened. We now open our doors each morning at over 36 different sites across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports us by by buying or donating goods to us, your kindness and generosity helps local people. Unfortunatley on occasion we have to decline some items offered to us.

- TV's without scart sockets or remote controls

- child car seats
- toys and games without a CE mark
- artificial Christmas tress
- video players and tapes
- various electrical kitchen/beauty items
- unsold car boot items
- electric blankets
- artificial Christmas tressany
- item not of saleable quality
Sadly it costs the hospice to dispose of non-recyclable items. Please help us by diposing of these items at your local HWRC. Thank you for your understanding
