Fundraising in Lockdown
Are you struggling to think of fundraising ideas you could do whilst we are in lockdown? We have ideas for you, get involved and support your local hospice!
The current coronavirus crisis has had a hugely negative impact on the hospice, as we have faced a great number of clinical challenges and obstacles to raising vital funds. We are once again in the midst of the temporary closure and loss of invaluable funds through our charity shops, as well as the cancellation of a great number of our annual fundraising events and appeals.
With all this in mind, any fundraising undertaken during this time will make a crucial difference in ensuring that we can continue to provide our core services to those who need them most.
Below are some fundraising ideas that will be possible in spite of the current lockdown restrictions:
Shave Your Hair for Hospice Care
The current lockdown guidelines have seen a sharp rise in the ‘stay at home haircut’. Without access to the barbers, are you willing to brave the shave in order to make a vital difference to our patient care!?
If you've deiced to brave the shave then follow these simple steps to start fundraising:
Select a date for the ocassion and get hold of some clippers!
Set up an online fundraising page via the link:
Select the orange ‘Fundraise for us’ button
Upload a ‘before’ photo on your page and add some details

Do It For Dove House - Virtual Challenges
In spite of the many hurdles that Coronavirus has enforced, it has been amazing to see the way in which people have continued to fundraise on our behalf. The measures put in place mean that we are still unable to fundraise in the ways we normally would. Because of this, we need your help to make sure those who need hospice care in your local community are still able to receive our help and support.
ts truly wonderful that people have decided to make the most out of the current situation by doing something that not only makes them feel good, but also helps to raise vital funds for Dove House in the process. We want this momentum to continue, and we'd like to encourage more people to take on a virtual challenge. It's up to you what activity or goal you set yourself, all we ask is that you Do It for Dove House!
