Ensure this Christmas is extra special for the patients who need the hospice over the festive season.
For most of us Christmas Day, and indeed the whole Christmas period, is a time to relax and enjoy the festivities with those we love with the worries of every day life put to one side for a while. But not everyone has the luxury of a worry-free Christmas. People in the local community who are living with a terminal illness can find Christmas a particularly stressful time, especially if it’s likely that it will be their last Christmas together as a family.
Christmas at Dove House is no different.
At the hospice, we take on the worry and stress that comes with a life limiting illness, leaving the family to do what matters – make memories that will last a lifetime.
Can you help ensure that Christmas 2019 is full of moments that matter for every family who turn to the hospice?
It costs £2900 to run the Inpatient Unit on Christmas Day. Could you be one of 50 people to donate £58 to cover this cost? Or, could you donate £29 which could pay for one patient to have lovely homemade festive meals (plus a few treats!) on Christmas Day?
Whatever you are able to give, your help this Christmas will ensure special memories can be made at some of the most difficult times for local people.
