Our shops are re-opening!

With the confirmation from the government, we are happy to announce the re-opening of our shops from Monday 12th April! We will walk you through everything you need to know about the shops re-opening as well as the donation processes in place.

Please read on to find out about our sale, volunteering in one of our shops as well as the donation processes we have in place at our shops and at our Retail Distribution Centre.

Volunteering in our shops

Our shops are a gigantic part of the hospice they help us to bring in around 20% of the total income needed to keep the hospice open, a large part of what keeps our shops open are the volunteers that we have working everyday to help keep them operational, with the re-opening of our shops we are looking for volunteers to support us in our shops!

Could you be a new volunteer at Dove House? We have over 35 shops across the region which also includes the specialist shops like our furniture shops, Re-Use and Humber Wood. It's your chance to get involved in a new exciting opportunity and to learn new skills within the retail sector.

With the re-opening of non-essential retail around the corner, could you support us?

If you are interested in volunteering for us then please get in touch:

With our shops re-opening we will also be accepting donations once again. Donating your unwanted goods to the hospice is easy and is a great way to support the work of Dove House whilst also caring for the environment by allowing your goods to be reused and recycled.

We expect a surge of donations coming into our shops across the region as well as at our Retail Distribution Centre on Malmo Road, because of this we ask that if you plan to visit a shop and donate goods that you call ahead to the shop to make sure they are able to accept your donation. For a list of our shops please see here:

All Shops

You are also able to visit our Retail Distribution Centre on Malmo Road to donate goods however we also expect this to be busy so please be aware that there may be delays here too.

Collection Service

We have a collection service available across Hull & East Yorkshire however please be aware this service is only available for furniture and appliance collection, not for general goods.

Yet again we expect this service to be busy so some delays should be expected, you are able to get in touch with the transport team via telephone on: 01482 785780 or through our contact form here. (Please select 'Goods and Furniture Donation' for the enquiry.)

With the surge of donations we expect to receive, we also expect to get people donating some items that we don't accept; to make sure you know what we do and don't accept when it comes to donations please find the list here:
