When someone you love has died, it is natural to experience feelings of loss and sadness and to feel overwhelmed.  Hospice care includes looking after the families and loved ones of our patients, through the journey of illness, during bereavement and afterwards

Our Family Support Team understand how you are feeling, and are on hand to listen, to talk and to help you and your family with one to one support or other support services.  Whether it is practical help or emotional support, or you would just like to talk, please get in touch.

We also provide specialist support for children dealing with loss through Roots of Support, we run Welcome Wednesdays Bereavement Cafe, which is open to anyone in the community who has had a bereavement  and we offer breaks at the hospice caravan, The Dovecote, for bereaved families of hospice patients. Find out more about both of these services below.

Bereavement Pack

We understand that the period after someone has died can be very hard, it’s a time when there are often strong emotions but also a time when the next of kin has to make necessary arrangements. We have created a guide that will hopefully help families navigate the days and weeks after they have loved one.
