From October 6th to October 12th, 2025, Hospice Care Week unfolds - an occasion to celebrate the nationwide impact of hospice care. It's a moment to recognise the remarkable efforts invested in delivering optimal end-of-life care for all.

This year’s theme, “Hospice care is more than you think,” couldn’t be more fitting. For many, hospice care conjures images of inpatient beds and end of life support, but it’s also about helping people live well, manage their symptoms, and find peace during incredibly difficult times.

For one week in October, Hospice Care Week shines a spotlight on our brilliant hospices, and their amazing staff. We’ll do this through telling their stories, hearing their voices and harnessing the collective power of the hospice sector – that includes hospice supporters like you.

One of the people making hospice care possible at Dove House is Kari, a Complementary Therapist at the hospice, whose story shows the heart behind hospice care.f whom help make hospice care what it is. You will also hear from a variety of service users and patients who have accessed the different elements of care that we
provide at Dove House.

It’s thanks to all the amazing staff, volunteers and supporters like you that we are able to support our community the way that we do.

Who can join in?

Everyone can be a part of Hospice Care Week - whether with your local hospice, your workplace, or simply with friends and family. It's a great way to show support for hospices all around the UK.

How to get involved

Between October 6th and 12th, we'll be sharing content on our social media. Simply use the hashtags #HospiceCareWeek and #WeAreHospiceCare in your posts. This way, we can spot your content and share it with our followers!

We are hospice care.

We are nurses, doctors, social workers. We are volunteers, cleaners, therapists.

We provide compassionate care for people at the end of their life, and support for those who are left behind.

We are there when you need it most.
