Be part of some amazing events

Our busy event season has begun and we are looking for volunteers to support us and make them the most successful events yet!

It's vital we have volunteers support us at our events to take on roles to make sure they run smoothly, without volunteers they simply would not be able to go ahead.

Remember that events volunteering doesn't need a regular commitment, just a few hours on the day of the event, it's the perfect way to volunteer and support Dove House if you don't have as much time to spare.

If you're interested in supporting our events team at any upcoming events please get in touch via email: events@dovehouse.org.uk or call: 01482 785795 between 10am-4pm, Mon-Fri.

Take a look at our upcoming events that we need volunteers to help with.

Car Boot Sales

Sundays (May to September)

In the summer months we open up our gates every Sunday to sellers and buyers at our popular car boot sales.

Volunteers are needed to welcome people onto the site, ensure they are parked in the correct place, manage the car parking and generally be a helpful face to anyone at the event.

Hull 10k

Sunday 12th June 2022

This will be the 11th running of this fantastic event, showcasing the very best Hull has to offer.

This 10K route goes through the city centre and has become a fantastic event in the running calendar.

As a partner charity for the event, we need to provide volunteer marshals along the route, clapping and cheering the runners.

Wine Dash

Sunday 12th June 2022

The Wine Dash is a 5K – or 15 mile – walk around the Yorkshire Wolds with wine along the route for participants to sample.

We need volunteers to run the wine stations, giving out the samples as well as to marshal along the route of the 5K.  We also need volunteers to manage the registration desk at Little Wold Vineyard.

We also have two checkpoints for the 15 mile walk and we need volunteers to help give out refreshments and make sure the walkers are all ok.

Starlight Stride

Saturday 17th September 2022

This year’s night time walk will take place through the grounds of Burton Constable.

Volunteers are needed to register all the walkers before they start, marshal along the route encouraging all the walkers, and then to welcome everyone back once they have finished.
