This year's Cottingham Open Gardens promises to be the best ever yet with over 20 beautiful gardens opening and welcoming visitors to help raise invaluable funds for the hospice.
After last year's very successful event which raised just over £12,000 for the hospice, the Cottingham Open Gardens returns in 2018 with over twenty beautiful gardens opening on Sunday 17th and Sunday 24th June from 10am to 4pm. This is an arrangement that should allow people to visit all of the gardens across both weekends, and is also a form of insurance against the unreliable British weather!
The gardens, most of which are normally hidden from view, ranging from the almost park-sized down to the compact and bijou courtyard gardens, but all offer something different. It is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to show what the 'largest village in England' has to offer.
Entry passports will be on sale at all of the gardens on the days of the event, and at Barkers, the Duke of Cumberland, the Bluebell and the Dove House shop in Cottingham in the village during the fortnight preceding the event.
