The Sunday Times has ranked Dove House Hospice as one of the top places to work in the UK
We are very proud to have been named the fifth best Not-For-Profit company in The Sunday Times list of 100 best Not-For-Profit Organisations to work for in 2019 together with Best Companies three-star ‘extraordinary’ rating - the top possible score available.
With thousands of companies from across the UK contending for a place, The Sunday Times Best Companies list celebrates and showcases the very best in workplace engagement, with the staff themselves providing the responses that gauge the factors that separate good employers from the rest.

To become a Top 100 organisation our staff respond to an anonymous survey where they give their honest opinions about what it’s like to work for Dove House Hospice. Opinions on bosses, working conditions, employer’s values and more are compiled and analysed, then companies are placed in ranking order.
In this year’s survey:
- 96% believe the organisation is run on strong values/principles
- 93% love working for this organisation
- 92% feel the leader of this organisation runs this organisation on sound moral principles
- 85% feel a strong sense of family in my team
- 83% feel Senior Managers are visible and approachable
