As with the hospice, Williamsons Solicitors serve the communities of Hull and East Yorkshire. First established in 1890, they have offices in Beverly, Bridlington and Driffield, alongside their headquarters on Lowgate in Hull City centre.
We were delighted to welcome Williamsons on board in 2018 as part of our Make a Will Fortnight Appeal for the first time, whereby they helped to raise an amazing £3675. Following on from this amazing contribution, staff at Williamsons continued to fundraise for the hospice, including participarting in a 15 mile sponsored walk as part of Dove House's annual Wine Dash. The amazing efforts from all involved led to a recent further donation of £2040.
Speaking ahead of this year's Make a Will Fortnight, Director and Head of Conveyancing, Wills & Probate at Williamsons, Jane Cousins, said, “It was an absolute pleasure for Williamsons to take part in Dove House Will Fortnight. We raised a considerable sum of money on behalf of this fabulous local charity. We will definitely be taking part again this year and encourage others to join us.”
Jethro Shearring, Regional Fundraiser at Dove House Hospice, added, "We are only able to continue to provide our specialist care due to the generosity of the local community and organisations such as Williamsons. It has been amazing to see the drive and togetherness shown from all the staff at Williamsons in their desire to impact postively on the lives of our patients. To have helped to raise over £5000 in less than a year is an amazing acheivement."
