This year’s Make a Will Fortnight saw a record number of organisations open their doors to take will appointments, free of charge, in support of our patients. We were delighted to welcome Pinkney Grunwells Lawyers as a partner of the appeal for the first time this year. The addition of Pinkney Grunwells allowed for appointments to be taken at their office in Driffield, which was crucial in opening up the appeal to more people than every before.
As with Dove House Hospice, Pinkney Grunwells are long established in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With offices in Scarborough, Bridlington, Hummanby, Whitby and Driffield, they have been providing legal advice for over 80 years. This year, solicitor Michael Johnson, has kindly been offering his time and expertise in support of the appeal.
Speaking about Pinkney Grunwells participation, Dove House Hospice Regional Fundraiser Jethro Shearring, said: “We are completely indebted to the number of local organisations who give up their time every year as part of Make a Will Fortnight. The contributions from those who kindly take on will appointments has resulted in over £50,00 raised in recent years. Pinkney Grunwells involvement for the first time this year, has allowed us to spread the message about the appeal further than every before. We are incredibly grateful to Michael and all involved for their thoughtfulness and support.”
