We are delighted that this year’s Cottingham Open Gardens will return on Sundays 16th and 23rd June 2024!

The event raises over £10,000 annually for Dove House so it’ll be fantastic to see the community of Cottingham supporting this much-loved event again. Residents shall be opening their gardens to visitors, allowing them to enjoy these wonderful spaces, most of which are normally hidden from view and range from the almost park-sized down to the compact and bijou courtyard. Each garden offers something different and it’s a fantastic opportunity for residents to show what the ‘largest village in England’ has to offer!

The Open Gardens gives visitors an opportunity to learn about horticulture, hear from garden experts about how they transformed their gardens and receive tips on maximisng their own spaces to create a tranquil and unique living space. Gardens will also have a variety of entertainment, music, afternoon teas, plants for sale and lots of other family friendly activities taking place to help raise proceeds for the hospice.

Entry is £5.00 per adult with accompanied under 16s being free.

To purchase an event programme, please visit any of the participating gardens on the day or in advance from the Dove House shop in Cottingham, The Duke of Cumberland, King Billy Pub and Barkers.
