Welcome to the Dove House Drop-in

The aim of the drop-in is to improve the quality of life of people with a cancer diagnosis or other life limiting illness, their families and carers, through symptom control, support, rehabilitation and the promotion of independence. The essence of the drop-in is to make these services as accessible and easy to get to as possible. You do not need to be referred - just drop-in!

This service is available to anyone living in the Hull and East Riding area, affected by a life limiting illness and not currently using our services.

Patients, carers, friends and/or relatives are welcome at the Drop In.

People can come for advice from the nurses; talk to others in a similar situation; access our services, for example, support from our social worker or spiritual care team; enjoy an art and craft activity and where appropriate make a follow-up appointment with one of our therapists for a complementary therapy, physiotherapy, psychotherapy or occupational therapy assessment.

Our hope is that the Drop In offers a more flexible, less formal approach and will appeal to those people who do not wish, or are unable to access the more traditional palliative day therapy service.

Drop in at Dove House Hospice operates every Monday between 9.30 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 15.30

Just drop in, you do not need a referral or appointment.
