Summer Fayre 2010- sponsored by Smith & Nephew
The Summer Fayre took place in June with over 3000 people coming along to support the hospice. £13,500 was raised on the day which is wonderful and we would like to thank everyone who made that possible.
There was the classic hospice tombola along with the adult tombola which ran out of prizes! The cake stall was so popular that by 2pm, we had nothing left and the queues for the bbq and ice cream stands were constant throughout the day.
Arco came along with a goods stall and sold all their old stock and donated the full £967 to the hospice- thank you!
We had several non hospice stalls who were selling a varitey of goods and we would like to thank them for their continued support as each of them come along every year.
The children had some fantastic slides and bouncy castles to play on which proved to be a great success along with all the games stalls.
A big thank you to our event sponsor Smith & Nephew who have supported the Summer Fayre for the past 3 years. They have used it as their staff day and we welcomed over 250 staff and their families this year.
Next years Summer fayre will be held on Sunday 12th June at Dove House Hospice, Chamberlain Road, Hull.
