Raising funds for Dove House Hospice not only helps with team building and encourages fun at schools it can also be incorporated with citizenship and other curriculum modules.
There are many different things secondary schools can get involved in from holding an event at school like a fashion show or talent show and donating the proceeds to the hospice, having a hospice awareness day where there are lots of different fundraising activities arranged and information available or even a school team taking part in one of our hospice organised events - there really is something to suit every school. Some schools task groups to raise money as part of their coursework in citizenship classes and others take part in out seasonal appeals and have a giant Easter Egg competition or have Share-a-Card in classes or year groups instead of everyone sending individual cards. We can help your school get involved so whatever you're interested in please let us know and we'll be happy to give you a hand!
As well as helping with your fundraising activities we can come and do assemblies or talk to classes about the work the hospice does to ensure that students fully understand what we do here. Again, this can tie in with citizenship elements of the curriculum and can take place before or after fundraising in your school. If you would be interested in one of our team coming to your school please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
