Pre-school groups, and nurseries can have great fun whilst raising funds for Dove House Hospice and there are many different things groups like this can get involved in.
One of the most popular ideas is having a green day (because green is Dove House Hospice's colour) and having lots of fun within this theme - children can wear green clothes, play with green toys, paint green pictures and tell green stories all to raise awareness of the hospice - some children can even get sponsored for their green efforts to raise some money too! Some groups choose to do a yellow day in the same way, as yellow is the national hospices colour.
Other ideas include writing Dove stories, growing sunflowers and having hospice themed baking days and selling the buns to parents and guardians or why not have one of our special Dulcie Dove collection boxes? Lots of pre-school groups also like to take part in our seasonal appeals like selling our Easter or Christmas trinkets, having one of our Giant Easter Eggs to win or taking part in Share-a-Card at Christmas.
We can also arrange to come and visit your pre-school group and talk about the hospice and do lots of activities to help raise awareness for what we do here - if you are interested in us visiting your group please email firstname.lastname@example.org
