In Search of Your Perfect Pictures
Dove House Hospice is appealing to the public to get snapping for the chance to feature in its 2011 calendar.
The hospice is launching a competition for local people to submit their favourite pictures of the Hull and East Yorkshire area. The entries will be judged in late April and the best 13 will make it into the Dove House 2011 calendar. The calendar will be sold in all 30 of the hospice’s shops, as well as on its ebay page.
The 2010 calendar was composed of images donated by local photographer, Sean Spencer. Sean will be part of the judging panel for the 2011 pictures.
Marisa Coleman, Retail Development Manager for Dove House, said:
“We think the picture competition will be a great way for local people to get involved with the hospice and help raise some much-needed funds. Our calendar is always an extremely popular item and gives a great boost to our income every year.
“We have some fabulous scenery in the Hull and East Yorkshire area, so we would love people to send us their pictures. Whether you’re a budding photographer, a gifted amateur or merely just got that one lucky shot, this is your chance to have your pictures seen by thousands across the region!”
Entries must:
- Feature the Hull/East Riding area
- Be printed A4 landscape
- Be 300dpi minimum and no more than 5mb
- Be sent as a hard copy to: Marisa Coleman, Retail Development Manager, Dove House Hospice, Chamberlain Road, Hull, HU8 8DH
- Have entrant’s name, address, telephone number and the date and location of the picture written on the back
- Closing date for entries is Monday 26th April and the winning pictures will be chosen on Thursday 29th April.
