Love you 2 Appeal Launched
To support the completion of major re-development works at Chamberlain Road, Dove House needs to raise an extra £2.5m in the next two and half years, in addition to funding already being generated for day to day running costs.
In recognition of the scale of this need and the charity's commitment to the development not affecting existing fund raising, Dove House has established a separate appeal committee and campaign.
The new "Love you 2” appeal has been developed around the concept that £2.5m over two and a half years equates to the need to raise approximately £2 a minute. The appeal recognises the fact that most new fundraising will come from the community and want to make it clear that even small donations of £2 will make a real difference. Everyone can play their part in not only improving facilities for the hospice but, just as importantly, giving precious time for patients and their families.
This important appeal needs new ideas and new activity to help bring in the funds needed.

How patients will benefit:
The expansion and re-development of the hospice site will enable people to benefit from specialist palliative care, respite care, enhanced services and treatments...
and provide more facilities for relatives and carers.
Additional facilities will include:
- 12 respite beds including 2 family suites
- Enhanced therapy assessment and treatment areas
- New rehabilitation and gym facilities
- New and improved day therapy unit
- Efficient and updated clinical and administration accommodation
- New suites for relatives and carers
- Hospice café for the whole community
