Dove House Hospice Education & Practice Development
The Dove House Hospice Practice Development & Education Department primarily helps health care professionals, not only to understand more about the work we do here at Dove House, but also to take it out into the wider community and further the care that is so widely needed.
Here at Dove House, we understand that so many different people are touched by life limiting illnesses but are not always in direct contact with the patient. This is why our courses are available to anyone who is involved with end of life care, whether you may be a consultant, secretary, care worker or an office administrator.
We offer courses, study evenings, Hospice information afternoons, Hospice lectures and interactive workshops to suit all professionals. Our training includes:
- End of Life
- Bereavement support - for those supporting bereaved
- Supporting bereaved children - for teachers
- Bespoke courses for nursing and residential homes
- GP palliative care
- Pain Control and the different types of cancer
