Charity Of The Year
By committing to support the hospice for a year, we can work with you to create a calendar of activity which suits you. From staff events such as quiz nights to dress down days, sponsored events and raffles, it is easy to get everyone involved with supporting a charity and it needn’t mean huge disruption in the workplace.
By choosing to support one charity over a set period of time you can really make a difference to the cause as your efforts are concentrated in one area. By supporting the hospice you will be helping local people as your donations will be spent in the Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire area.
Graham Watson, Managing Partner at Yorkshire Bank in Hull, said:
“The hospice was a natural choice for us as our charity of the year because it is a great local cause that is close to so many of our staff and customers hearts. So many people have been touched by their work and so we decided to get involved and see how we could help.
“We never realised how much we would get back out of working closely with a charity. We’ve now formed a charity committee made up of representatives from our local branches and a member of the hospices’ fundraising team and they have organised
various activities from holding raffles and dress down days to organising an intercompany quiz night and big bike ride.
“Our staff have said how much they enjoy helping out and we’ve had a lot of positive comments from our customers too who have supported us throughout the year in our endeavours. We’ve not only raised money for a great cause but our involvement with Dove House has boosted staff morale and our customer relations too! We’re just adopted the hospice as our charity for the third year running and we haven’t stopped having fun yet!”
