Faith Groups
There are lots of ways faith groups, including churches, synagogue and temples, can get involved and raise funds for Dove House Hospice. From donating money from collections after or during a service to holding events there is something to suit every organisation. Some organisations also have smaller groups associated with them that choose to hold fundraising activities.
There are many activities which might suit faith groups wishing to fundraise for the hospice including coffee mornings, table top sales or even collecting unwanted presents for us to use as prizes at other fundraising functions. For hints and tips for holding your own event please click here to visit our Holding Your Own Event page.
We are also happy to come and do presentations and talk to groups about the work Dove House Hospice does in the local community, please click here to contact us if you think this would be useful for you.

St. Augustine's Church in Skirlaugh has been supporting Dove House Hospice for a number of years and has donated £546 since 2002. Most recently St. Augustine's chose the hospice as one of the charities to support at their church Coffee Shop. The Coffee Shop was set up to serve the community in Skirlaugh and opened Tuesday mornings every fortnight. It was decided that half of the profits made at the coffee shop would be donated to a different charity every six months and the first donation of £200 was made to Dove House Hospice in December 2008.

Cottingham Methodist Church has supported Dove House Hospice for many years and in many different ways and since 2001 they have donated £961.82 to the hospice. The most recent event that Cottingham Methodist Church held in aid of the hospice was a Concert in December 2008 which raised £184 for Dove House Hospice.
